I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love to read. Of course I grew up before T.V. was invented but even so I still reach for my book instead of the remote most of the time. As a child I loved the Peter Rabbit type stories - also Black Beauty which I read countless times. Then there were the Bobbsey Twins and other young girl adventure tales. I wish I could remember the titles of some of the others. I enjoyed Dickens and loved Jane Eyre. During the war. I read a number of true stories of espionage and escape. One of my favorites is Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky. I always stand in awe of those folks and wonder if I could ever be as strong or as brave and I’m afraid I might not.
